Cameron is a composer, sensory percussion drummer, intermedia artist and educator. He is interested in the capacity of intermedia worldbuilding and parafiction to contain, renarrativise and expand sonic and musical experience.
Work unfolds across fixed and installative sound and performance works, installation and exhibition concepts, game-engine simulations and sculpture.
His work straddles the composed and the installed, often evoking experiences of kilter, self-exposure, woozy familiarity, light spiritual reverence and narrative intoxication. He is interested in the capacities of intermedia, worldbuilding and parafiction as ways to contain and renarrativise sound and musical experience.
Installed projects are made using acoustic, electronic and hand-built instruments, film and sculpture.
His music is released on the UK-based label, Phantom Limb. Album – ‘Becoming a Beach Angel’ – released on vinyl and digital in August 2023. Two further releases are scheduled for 2025.
He is also a producer and mastering engineer for film, fashion and arts projects, co-directing the creative production company DOKCULTURE with filmmaker Fergus Carmichael.
